Bright Futures
Located in Methuen, Massachusetts, Bright Futures is a 12-bed residential substance abuse treatment program for adolescent males from across the state. Clients range between 11 and 20 years of age. The program teaches youth the skills necessary to maintain drug-free, pro-social lifestyles. Program participants follow a structured weekly schedule consisting of individual and family counseling, recovery-focused group meetings, life skills training, academic instruction and recreational activities. Length of stay is individualized, based on client needs.
R.E.A.C.H.
Located in Grafton, Massachusetts, Spectrum's Recovery through Education, Adventure, Commitment and Health (REACH) is a 10-bed program for adolescent and young adult males, ages 13 to 21 years. Programming includes individual and family counseling, life skills training and academic classes. Project Adventure activities are used to impart lessons in leadership, perseverance, communication, decision-making, teamwork, trust and personal responsibility. The program primarily serves clients from the Central Region of the state, however, there are a limited number of beds allocated for youth from across the Commonwealth. Length of stay is individualized, usually ranging between 120 to 180 days.
Detention
Located in Westborough, Massachusetts, Spectrum’s 15-bed detention program serves females 13 to 20 years of age with charges ranging from misdemeanors to felony. The goal of this short-term program is to reduce delinquent behaviors and encourage positive change in a safe, supportive and highly structured environment. Length of stay depends on the level of court involvement. Spectrum is contracted to serve clients from three DYS regions of the state.
